The HYDRA Governance Token
HYDRA, our governance token coming soon, will be used to vote on and govern replacement research funding proposals. HYDRA token holders, along with non-token DAO members, do not own rights to HydraDAO's IP or assets but can influence their commercialization and licensing through governance. DAO Governance
Phase I
Proposals begin as rough drafts on Discord. Ideas are discussed and debated by DAO members, expanding on the draft. Any verified HYDRA token holders can create a draft proposal.
Phase II
Proposals are formalized in a structure following a specific template. A temperature check from verified HYDRA holders, lasting 4 days, decides whether or not this proposal will go to Snapshot for a vote from token holders.
Phase III
Proposals are automatically posted on Snapshot if they pass the Phase II temperature check. This happens in batches every 14 days. Token holders are then allowed to vote on proposals for a total of 7 days.
Earn HYDRA
Working group members can earn governance power in HydraDAO via HYDRA by contributing their time and effort in the DAO. This can include sourcing, evaluating and incubating replacement research projects, forming partnerships, social media/community management, and much more.
